Manchester United have reportedly been quoted £50m as asking price for one of their transfer targets this summer.

This is according to the Daily Star which revealed that Bournemouth star David Brooks has become a top transfer target for the Red Devils as an alternative to Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish.

Bournemouth want a club-record fee for a departure before sanctioning the transfer for the Welsh international. Apart from Manchester United, David Brooks is also attracting interest from fellow Premier League teams Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Red Devils have tried to sign Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish from German club Borussia Dortmund and English team Aston Villa respectively but they have failed to sign the players due to the asking price from their clubs.

Borussia Dortmund have set the asking price of £110m for Jadon Sancho, while Aston Villa have set an £80m asking price for Jack Grealish.

For David Brooks, his South Coast club is not ready to give up on him as they would like to retain his services in the English Championship especially after the exit of their best players like Ryan Fraser, Nathan Ake, Callum Wilson etc. and this prompted the huge asking price for the player.

Bournemouth are targeting an instant return to the Premier League after suffering relegation to the English Championship at the end of the last campaign.
