Premier League champions Liverpool are targeting around £60m in player sales ahead of transfer deadline next week, according to the Daily Mirror.

It was revealed that the Reds are looking to raise a lot of money from the sale of fringe players between now and the end of the transfer window scheduled for later this month.

Liverpool players like Rhian Brewster, Harry Wilson, Marko Grujic and Xerdan Shaqiri are on the fringes of the first XI at the moment and they could leave in this window.

Young England striker Rhian Brewster has been the subject of interest from a lot of Premier League teams.

Crystal Palace, Sheffield United, Brighton and Hove Albion, as well as Aston Villa, have all been linked with a move for the 20-year-old attacker at various stages of this transfer window.

Sheffield United have come the closest to securing a deal for Rhian Brewster with latest reports claiming that the Blades are on the verge of signing him for around £20m and that the Reds will insert a buyback clause into his contract.

Two clubs are in talks to sign Xerdan Shaqiri, while Hertha Berlin are plotting a move for Marko Grujic after a successful two-year loan spell.

Harry Wilson is also attracting interest from Newcastle United after a good loan spell at Bournemouth last season.
