Report: Inter Milan Set To Sign Chelsea Defender On Loan

Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan are closing in on the loan signing of Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso according to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Nerazzuri are working on a deal to sign the Spanish international player.

Marcos Alonso could link up with Antonio Conte at Inter Milan if the deal to sign him on loan goes ahead as planned.

Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso was very efficient as a left wing back under the managerial watch of the aforementioned Conte while the Italian tactician was the Blues boss.

Marcos Alonso signed for Chelsea from Italian Serie A side Fiorentina in the summer of 2016 and he went on to win the Premier League title in his first season as a player for the Stamford Bridge outfit.

Alonso also won the FA Cup title under Antonio Conte during the 2017/18 campaign.

In his four-year stay at Chelsea, Marcos Alonso has won one league title, one Europa League title and one FA Cup title.

His time at Chelsea is coming to an end after a clash with manager Frank Lampard at the weekend during the half-time of the Premier League clash at West Brom.

Frank Lampard was visibly angry with the player after Marcos Alonso was substituted at half-time on the back of a poor first 45 minutes.

Chelsea were losing 3-0 at that point but they were able to salvage a point via a 3-3 draw at the end of regulation time.
