It has been reported by the English press that versatile Arsenal midfielder Ainsley-Maitland Niles is on the verge of joining Man United with claims that talks are already ongoing.

Ainsley-Maitland Niles was linked with a move away from the North London outfit in the early stage of the summer transfer window but that changed with his performance in the community shield against Liverpool.

It has been made very clear by manager Mikel Arteta that Ainsley-Maitland Niles will be staying at the club as he is a major part of his plan for the season with the hope of giving him some playing time.

With the latest report claiming that he is now set to leave the club for Man United but that has been dismissed by the Red Devils. The Old Trafford team made it clear that they are not in any way close to signing Ainsley-Maitland Niles from Arsenal.

Meanwhile, pundits have opined that should the Gunners make up their mind to sell a player with such quality, they will not be losing him to their rivals as he might hurt them in the future.

Howbeit, Man United and Arsenal have a history of transfer deals in the past years despite being rivals in the Premier League.
