Going by Arsenal’s wish list, Houssem Aouar and Thomas Partey are the only players left to be brought in by manager Mikel Arteta to help challenge for the league title.

The Gunners have already secured the signature of Brazilian duo Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes from Chelsea and Lille respectively but they have been heavily linked with Houssem Aouar and Thomas Partey but unable to agree on a fee for their services.

In his analysis, Sky Sports transfer expert Kaveh Solhekol gave the hint that the North London outfit still stands a chance of snapping up the signatures of these two midfield stars despite the insistence of French Ligue 1 outfit Lyon and Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid.

According to him, both clubs are in need of funds this summer window and that keeps Arsenal in a relatively strong position to sign either of the players.

He added that both clubs need to sell a player to generate funds, hinting that Lyon are prepared to sell Houssem Aouar but noted that the president is a difficult man to negotiate with.

Kaveh Solhekol stressed that he has been told by sources close to Lyon that they really want to sell to raise money and Houssem Aouar is their shot to earn something big.
