AS Roma’s talks for Alexandre Lacazette deal confirmed

It has been confirmed by The Athletic reporter David Ornstein that Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma made efforts to sign striker Alexandre Lacazette from the English Premier League outfit Arsenal earlier in the transfer window.

Alexandre Lacazette was earlier linked away from the North London outfit with reports that he is unhappy at the club and would be used as a bait to snap up other targets, including Thomas Partey.

All of the speculations have been laid to rest as it is confirmed that the former Lyon striker will now be staying at the Emirates Stadium and might enter talks of a contract extension in the coming months.

The French man has now scored a total of two goals in his first two league games this season and that has convinced the fans and the club that he is still needed.

Alexandre Lacazette will now continue his friendship with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as the Gabon international also recently confirmed his stay at the club by signing a new deal.

However, some names have been listed as part of those that will be leaving Arsenal this season and the French man is not part of the list. Those affected are Matteo Guendouzi, Lucas Torreira, and Sokratis Papa.
