Arsenal legend Ian Wright has taken a dig at Man United by claiming that their new signing Donny van de Beek would have fit into the Gunners system more than the Red Devils.

Donny van de Beek is the only major signing by Man United this season after joining from Ajax to add to the options in the midfield.

Ian Wright claims the Dutch midfielder could have been better at Arsenal when he spoke on The Kelly & Wrighty Show. He noted that Donny van de Beek’s quality already exists at the Old Trafford before his coming, adding that he does the same thing as Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes.

The Arsenal legend admits the Dutch midfielder is a great player but he might not give more than what the Red Devils already have because his preferred positions are already being handled by great players.

However, the Gunners are currently in the search for a new midfielder as they are making efforts to convince Atletico Madrid and Lyon for the signatures of Thomas Partey and Houssem Aouar respectively.

Meanwhile, Man United have given the hint that they are still in the summer transfer market to land players that will help improve their team for the season’s challenge.
