One player Arsenal were strongly linked with this summer transfer window is Brazilian international Philippe Coutinho but speculations of his move to the Emirates Stadium has been on the low.

Until the arrival of Ronald Koeman as Barcelona manager, Philippe Coutinho was tipped to have a return to the Premier League with his agent confirming it amidst strong interest from the North London club.

Philippe Coutinho’s loan spell with German Bundesliga outfit Bayern Munich ended last season and he was meant to leave the club but his wish was never to return to Barcelona where he was not favoured.

The whole situation changed with the coming of the new Catalan boss who reportedly convinced the former Liverpool player to return and have a good time at Cmp Nou.

However, the latest report claims a deal for Philippe Coutinho is not over yet for Arsenal as they could still make an attempt to snap him up before the end of the summer transfer window.

Although there are many questions to ask, including if the Gunners can convince Philippe Coutinho again if they can meet the asking price of the Brazilian and pay his huge weekly wage.

Howbeit, the Gunners might have turned their attention to Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar and Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid.
