Liverpool are close to signing a young Brazilian goalkeeper according to reports in the South American nation of Brazil.
Fluminense shot stopper Marcelo Pitaluga will reportedly travel to England to complete a transfer to Liverpool before the end of this transfer window.
According to Globo Esporte, Liverpool made an offer of €1m plus €1m in add-ons for the 17-year-old. The offer was accepted by his Brazilian Serie A club.

The Reds had earlier made a smaller offer for the goalkeeper but it was turned down by Fluminense.
In addition to the offer accepted above, Fluminense have also inserted a 25% sell-on clause in the deal.
The player is expected to sign a three-year deal with the option of an extra two years.
Liverpool have not been active in the transfer market this summer like what’s obtainable with the other big clubs in the Premier League and the imminent signing of Pitaluga is not expected to get the Reds fans excited.
The Reds have signed just one player this summer for the first team and that’s Greek left-back Konstantinos Tsimikas.
Tsimikas has joined Liverpool from Olympiacos this summer to provide competition for first choice left-back Andy Robertson.
Marcelo Pitaluga has a German passport and he doesn’t need to turn 18 before making the move from Fluminense to Liverpool.
