The first player to have been allegedly told by manager Mikel Arteta to leave Arsenal this summer window because he is not in the plans for the new season is Sokratis Papa but he is yet to find his way out.

Sokratis Papa has been linked with a move to Italian Serie A outfit Napoli with claims that personal terms have been agreed with the player but Napoli are yet to make steps into finalizing the deal.

It is, therefore, reported by Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, that the Naples team will not complete a move for Sokratis Papa if they are unable to sell Kalidou Koulibaly as expected.

Both Man United and Man City have indicated an interest in Kalidou Koulibaly with speculations that there could be an agreement for personal terms between the player and the Pep Guardiola team.

However, a deal is yet to fall in place as Man City and Man United have not met the £70 million valuation for Kalidou Koulibaly which makes a deal far from being agreed upon. Napoli have also made it clear that they will not be coming down on the price.

The development means Sokratios Papa will have to wait until Napoli gets sorted with Kalidou Koulibaly’s move or seek other options before the end of the summer transfer window.
