Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has reportedly agreed a deal with Italian Serie A champions Juventus as he considers his future at Chelsea.

The agreement between Giroud and Juventus was confirmed by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

The 33-year-old is seen as an alternative to Luis Suarez at Juventus. The Italians want to sign a new striker this summer after the contract of Argentine attacker Gonzalo Higuain was mutually terminated.

Luis Suarez is the top target for Juventus and they have Olivier Giroud as the alternative for the Uruguayan international.

Olivier Giroud is considering his future at Chelsea after the Blues splashed the cash on Timo Werner from German side RB Leipzig.

Timo Werner set Chelsea back to the tune of £53m this summer. The Blues also have Tammy Abraham and another new attacker Kai Havertz who could play as a midfielder or as a striker.

Giroud could potentially start the season as the fourth choice striker behind Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Tammy Abraham. The Frenchman wants to play regularly to stay in the French national team ahead of the 2020 European Championship next summer.

He signed for the Blues in January 2018 from London rivals Arsenal and the player has a year to run on his Chelsea contract.
