Six-time European champions Liverpool have made their biggest signing of this summer’s transfer window following the signing of Portuguese international Diogo Jota.
The Reds have signed Diogo Jota from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old has signed a five-year contract to become a Liverpool player.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp always wanted to sign a new attacker to provide stiff competition for his front three of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
Klopp was heavily linked with German international Timo Werner but the former RB Leipzig forward decided to sign for Chelsea ahead of the Merseyside giants.

Werner had talked about his admiration for Klopp and Liverpool but the lure of regular first team football played a major role in his decision to sign for Chelsea ahead of Liverpool.
The German attacker signed for Chelsea from Bundesliga side in a £53m deal.
Klopp and Liverpool also wanted to sign Ismaila Sarr from second tier team Watford after missing out on Werner. However, they were priced out of a move for Sarr thus leaving the club with the option of signing Diogo Jota.
Jota, 23, has been at Wolves for three years and was regarded as an important member of Nuno Espirito Santo’s team at the Molineux.
Other Liverpool signings this summer are left-back Kostantinos Tsimikas and midfielder Thiago Alcantara.
