The Daily Mirror has revealed that the Gunners are eyeing a £90m double swoop in the transfer market after the club confirmed the contract extension of skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Arsenal captain Aubameyang has signed a new three-year deal to secure his long-term future at the club. The 31-year-old was linked with several teams before he penned a deal that would potentially make him the highest earner amongst the Gunners squad.

After the Aubameyang contract extension, Arsenal want to concentrate on new signings with two players on the radar.

The Gunners are plotting respective deals for Atletico Madrid player Thomas Partey and Lyon skipper Houssem Aouar.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wants to strengthen his squad with the two midfielders in a deal that could be around  £90m.

Thomas Partey will set Arsenal back to the tune of £50m, while the Gunners will have to pay over £40m to sign Frenchman Aouar.

Arteta and Arsenal will have to raise cash through player sales to fund the two transfers starting with the £20m sale of Emiliano Martinez.

The transfer of Emiliano Martinez to fellow Premier League team Emiliano Martinez will be confirmed today. In addition, Arsenal are open to offers to other players like Matteo Guendouzi, Sead Kolasinac and Lucas Torreira.
