It is no longer news that English Premier League clubs Man United and Liverpool are reportedly linked with a move for Bayern Munich star Thiago Alcantara in this summer transfer window.

There have been no developments for the past days over the deal as none of the clubs have come out to admit or dismiss the reports while there has been relative silence from the camp of the player.

However, a former Bayern chief Uli Hoeness in an interview with Sport 1 shocked football fans when he claimed Thiago Alcantara probably has an agreement for a deal with Man United or Liverpool, adding that he might have also spoken to them both.

According to the former Bayern Munich chief, the club offered the former Barcelona star a great four-year contract extension but to their surprise, he made a last-minute change of mind to turn down the offer with a decision to leave the club.

He further revealed that the German Bundesliga outfit have not received any offer from either of the Premier League duo or other suitors for Thiago Alcantara.

This development makes Uli Hoeness suspect that something could be happening which is unknown to Bayern Munich as he claims that Man United and Liverpool are bluffing and could submit an offer in the last week to make it cheaper for them.

Uli Hoeness, therefore, called on Bayern Munich to stand their ground on what they want, either to keep Thiago Alcantara or play along with his suitors.
