Is Atletico Madrid forward the right replacement for Jadon Sancho

Emerging reports have claimed that English Premier League club Man United are considering making a move for Atletico Madrid forward as a replacement for Jadon Sancho this summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are not willing to meet the £100 million price set by German Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund for the England international winger which means a deal might not happen between the two parties.

Joao Felix is now being considered for a move away from the Spanish La Liga outfit after spending one season with the club. He joined Atletico Madrid in the last summer in a deal worth £113 million.

It is understood that the Spanish outfit will not mind cashing in from the sale of the player who scored just nine goals and three assists for the club but the Red Devils must be willing to pay a fee close to what is being requested for Jadon Sancho by Borussia Dortmund.

English Premier League giants Man City are reportedly interested in the 20-year-old, who signed a long-term deal with Atletico Madrid but there has not been any concrete offer.

It is now unclear if the Red Devils will be able to meet the asking price of Joao Felix as he will not be available for cheap.

However, Joao Felix is not the only option the Red Devils are currently considering as Juventus star Douglas Costa and Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale are also being monitored.

Thomas Partey

Premier League team Arsenal have been handed an ultimatum to fulfil the release clause obligations in the contract of Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey or risk losing out on him.

Renowned Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed via his official Twitter account that the Gunners will have to pay the €50m (£45m) release clause in Partey’s contract at the club before adding that Arsenal have less than two weeks to pull off the signing.

The transfer guru also pointed out that Atletico Madrid no longer have pressing financial needs after they sanctioned the transfer of Spanish striker Alvaro Morata to Juventus in a £49.5m.

Morata has returned to Juventus on a loan deal for this season at £8.2m with the option to make his transfer permanent for £41.3m at the end of the loan contract next summer.

Arsenal have been trying to sign Thomas Partey since the current transfer window opened in July.

Atletico Madrid are interested in Arsenal player Lucas Torreira and the Gunners proposed a player-plus-cash offer involving the Uruguayan and Thomas Partey but it was swiftly turned down by the La Liga team.

The Gunners must pay the release clause of the 27-year-old Ghanaian international in full to sign him.

Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is closing in on a return to Italian champions Juventus on a loan deal.

The former Chelsea striker is already in Turin as confirmed by the Italians.

Morata is expected to sign for Juventus on loan for €9m with the option to sign permanently for €45m.

The Spanish international is in Juventus for his second spell after spending two years with the Serie A giants between 2014 and 2016.

Alvaro Morata returned to parent club from Real Madrid after he had scored 27 goals in 93 appearances during his two-year loan stay in Turin.

The 27-year-old won the Spanish La Liga title on his return to Real Madrid before the striker signed for Chelsea for a then club-record fee of around £60m.

The player didn’t have the best of times at Stamford Bridge prompting him to leave the Blues after 18 months.

Alvaro Morata initially signed for the Blues on loan before his transfer was made permanent towards the start of last summer.

He scored 12 goals in 34 appearances for Atletico Madrid in the Spanish La Liga in his first full season at the club.

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez is expected to replace him at Atletico Madrid.

The 33-year-old is surplus to requirements at Barcelona following the arrival of manager Ronald Koeman.

Lucas Torreira

North London giants Arsenal have rejected the opening offer from Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid for one of their midfielders.

Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira is attracting serious interest from Diego Simeone with the Atletico Madrid boss said to be a fan of the petite Uruguayan international.

Italian journalist Matteo Pedrosi said that the Gunners turned down the opening offer of a loan deal from Atletico Madrid for Lucas Torreira.

Atletico Madrid wanted to sign the Gunners midfielder on loan with an option to sign him on a permanent deal.

The Spaniards are cash strapped at the moment and they need to release some of their players to fund the signing of new players like Lucas Torreira.

Arsenal are interested in Thomas Partey from the Atletico Madrid squad thus making the potential deals for Torreira and Partey almost straightforward.

Lucas Torreira signed for the Gunners in 2018 following the £26m transfer from Sampdoria in the Italian top flight.

Arteta has preferred midfielders like Granit Xhaka, Mohamed ElNeny, Joe Willock and Dani Ceballos ahead of Torreira.

The Uruguayan international was left out of the Arsenal squad for the opening league game at Fulham which ended in a 3-0 away win for the Gunners.

He was also conspicuously absent for the second league game of the season, a 2-1 win at home to West Ham United.

Atletico Madrid attacker Joao Felix is on the radar of Premier League side Manchester United who are looking for alternatives in the event that they are not able to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

The interest of Manchester United in Joao Felix was confirmed by the Daily Star.

England international Jadon Sancho is the main transfer target for Manchester United this summer. As a matter of fact, the Red Devils’ interest in the player dates back to the start of last season.

Manchester United were not able to sign the 20-year-old last summer and it seems like the same situation will play out this summer after Borussia Dortmund slammed an asking price of £108m on the player.

The Red Devils have already agreed the agent fees and personal terms for the transfer but it can’t go through if they are not able to agree a transfer fee with Borussia Dortmund.

Joao Felix is seen as an alternative to Jadon Sancho for the Red Devils. Juventus winger Douglas Costa and Real Madrid star Gareth Bale are also alternatives.

Portuguese international Joao Felix, 20, scored nine goals plus three assists in the Spanish La Liga last season. He has five years left on his Atletico Madrid contract having joined the club last summer in a £113m deal.

Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez has confirmed that English Premier League club Man United were interested in his services and that flattered him.

Unfortunately, the interest in his service has been laid to rest as the Red Devils have already secured the signature of Donny van de Beek from Ajax with a fee of £40 million.

Apparently, he would have given his nod to the Red Devils, despite not admitting that but Saul Niguez confessed to being flattered that a club like Man United asked about his availability.

The feeling for Saul Niguez became bigger when he heard former players like Rio Ferdinand speak of him in public as a good player. he admitted it was a positive one for him and his work with the Spanish La Liga outfit.

Of course, Saul Niguez is set to stay with Atletico Madrid for another season with the coming of the Dutch midfielder who is highly rated and has bee pictured in training.

With the capture of Donny van de Beek, the Red Devils are now prioritizing the signature of England international winger Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, with the latest claims that personal terms have been agreed upon while agent fees have also been successfully negotiated

Man United have been able to make another summer transfer signing by sealing the signature of Atletico Madrid youngster Alejandro Garnacho.

The Red Devils have been able to achieve this feat by defeating Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund to his signature.

The 16-year-old started his youth career at Atletico Madrid but will now move ahead to the Old Trafford where he will continue his development. It is not sure if he will start with the first team under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer or will begin at the youth team.

Alejandro Garnacho has always stated that his idol was Cristiano Ronaldo and that must have played a big role in luring him to make the Red Devils choice ahead of Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.

While Real Madrid also had Cristiano Ronaldo in their team before now, their rivalry with Atletico Madrid made it very difficult to strike a deal.

However, Alejandro Garnacho will join Man United on a long-term deal of five years, according to Marca.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils have been doing well to equip their youth rank as they recently brought in Alvaro Fernandez from Madrid and Marc Jurado from Barcelona and they could be given the chance at smaller competitions.

Thomas Partey

The interest in Thomas Partey by the English Premier League outfit Arsenal gets tougher with the latest report that they are no longer alone in the chase of the player.

Spanish outlet, Marca reports that the North London outfit are not any close to sealing a deal with the Atletico Madrid for the Ghanaian international because he is set to extend his stay with the club.

It is understood that the efforts to have him extend his stay at the Wanda Metropolitano is to discourage the Gunners from insisting on his signature as well as a bid to increase his value and fee.

The latest move by the Spanish La Liga outfit might be instigated by the report that Italian Serie A outfit Juventus are also showing interest in Thomas Partey and are ready to hijack the deal from Arsenal by luring the player with a huge offer.

It is understood that manager Diego Simeone is not willing to let go of Thomas Partey but will not insist on his stay as it is already reported that he is in search for a new midfielder.

It would be recalled that the first bid made by Arsenal to include out-of-favour Matteo Guendouzi in the deal plus cash failed as it was rejected.

Thomas Partey

The latest report has confirmed that the English Premier League club Arsenal have submitted another bid for Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey with manager Mikel Arteta very keen on his signature.

The Gunners have already secured the signature of Dani Ceballos on loan as a midfielder but there is a need to bring in a player who can add depth to the team as a defensive midfielder, with the Spanish manager hoping on a deal for the Ghanaian international.

It would be recalled that the Gunners had offered Matteo Guendouzi plus cash to the Spanish La Liga outfit for the player but it was rejected as they are insisting on his £45 million release clause which would be difficult to meet.

However, the latest report claims that the Gunners have submitted another bid by offering two players plus cash to Atletico Madrid for Thomas Partey. It is understood that Alexandre Lacazette has now been added to Matteo Guendouzi plus cash to be able to strike a deal.

It is understood that Atletico Madrid are also interested in the signature of the Arsenal striker with the possibility that the Frenchman would be heading the exit door before the end of the summer transfer window.
