Manchester City defender John Stones has been advised to part ways with the Pep Guardiola team this summer transfer window amidst speculations that he is being wanted by North London outfit, Arsenal.

John Stones started with a lot of potential at the Etihad Stadium but went down the pecking order which makes it difficult for him to be favoured ahead of others for selection.

It was earlier believed that the North London outfit was interested in the signature of the young defender before they went ahead to seal other options which now makes it difficult for the Gunners to invest in him.

However, John Stones is being advised to part ways with Man City as he may never get the chance to impress or return to his best again.

Pundits hold the opinion that players like John Stones will only need a new challenge elsewhere, under a new manager to be able to pick up again and that will be easier with a new New club.

With Arsenal already enjoying the services of their new recruit, Gabriel Magalhaes, there are no chances they will still bring in John Stones as the focus for the remainder of the transfer window has been shifted to midfielders
