Man United are increasingly becoming uncomfortable with the lack of options at the center-back and it is claimed they are set to cash out £23 million to bring in an AS Monaco starlet Benoit Badiashile this summer transfer window.

The season has already started with Man United yet to play their opening game but concerns have been raised by pundits over their lack of defensive quality in the team.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright is the latest to urge manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to consider a world-class defender, stressing that they must act like Liverpool to be able to compete for titles.

However, the Red Devils seem to have listened to the advice and will now bring in the 19-year-old to the team to partner Harry Maguire for the new season, according to French publication L’Equipe (h/t Express),

Since making his debut for the French Ligue 1 club, Benoit Badiashile has continued to rise in the game to have attracted a number of interests across Europe.

The target for Man United this season is to win titles and it has been established that it can only be met with the right players of great quality and this transfer window as the only way of achieving this
