Arsenal considering China import this season

The latest reports have claimed that the English Premier League outfit are considering the option of Stephan El Shaarawy in their team ahead of the new season that will be starting on Saturday.

It is understood that manager Mikel Arteta is a fan of the player and has informed Chinese outfit Guangzhou Evergrande to take advantage of his availability to bring him to the Emirates Stadium on a loan deal.

A report by Di Marzio claims the North London club have already contacted Guangzhou Evergrande and are in talks for a loan deal that is already being considered.

Stephan El Shaarawy is keen to leave China for a return to Europe as he seeks to be invited to the Italian national team without being quarantined for two weeks before joining the camp as a result of the new coronavirus protocols that must be observed for players who are coming in from certain countries into Europe.

The Gunners will have to battle French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain and Atletico Madrid for the signature of Stephan El Shaarawy as they are also interested.

Howbeit, the Gunners will not be desperate for Stephan El Shaarawy as he is not a priority for the team, especially with the presence of Nicolas Pepe and Bukayo Saka in the team.
