Manchester United have linked with a cut-price move for FC Porto left-back Alex Telles this summer according to the various reports in the English media but the transfer news has not extended to the Portuguese media.

The only media outlet to cover the Alex Telles transfer to Manchester United in Portugal is Corriere da Manha and English journalist Duncan Castles was cited as the source for the report.

Alex Telles had a very good season last term with a return of 13 goals and 12 assists in 49 games in all competitions for the Portuguese Super League giants.

The Brazilian defender was a major part of the FC Porto team that won the double at the end of last season. FC Porto were able to wrestle the league title from the hands of rivals Benfica in addition to the Portuguese Cup.

Various English media reports also revealed that FC Porto have slammed a cut-price fee of €30m (£27m) on Alex Telles who has one year to run on his present deal.

Manchester United have not satisfied their fans in the transfer window and that has left the Red Devils fans frustrated due to the lack of activity in the transfer market.

Donny Van De Beek is the only new player at the club this summer.
