According to popular Portuguese media platform A Bola, Arsenal have entered the race to sign Atletico Paranaense midfielder Bruno Guimares.
It was disclosed that the Gunners are in a three-way fight for the 22-year-old Brazilian midfielder who caught the eye for this club during the just concluded Brazilian Serie A season.
Bruno Guimares made 25 appearances for his team which finished in fifth position as Flamengo ended the season as champions plus their COPA Libertadores title made possible by the 2-1 comeback victory over River Plate FC of Argentina.
Benfica and Borussia Dortmund are the other European teams in the race to sign the player alongside Arsenal.

The report from the above mentioned media publication said that Portuguese champions Benfica are in pole position to sign the player but they have not met the financial demands required for a deal.
Benfica have made an offer of £17m for the player plus 10% of future sale.
Atletico Paranaense are holding out for the offers from the likes of Arsenal and German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund since the two clubs are also in the running to sign the midfielder.
The Brazilian Serie A outfit wants £34m for their prized asset and might need to wait for the summer if the Gunners are to be involved in the transfer.
Arsenal are operating in the loan market until this summer when they’ll spend big on new players.
