Manchester United are targeting a move for a player from one of their Premier League rivals as per the various media reports in the United Kingdom.

The Red Devils are said to be interested in Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante who has been at Stamford Bridge for the last four years on the back of his £32m transfer from Leicester City.

The Daily Mail specifically revealed that Manchester United are waiting for an encouragement from Chelsea before making a move for the £60m-rated midfielder.

Kante is available for a transfer this summer as Chelsea tries to balance the books after spending £200m+ on signings. In addition, Blues boss Frank Lampard is eyeing a summer move for highly rated West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice.

Rice is a regular for the Three Lions of England and the Hammers have slapped an asking price of £80m on him. He was previously at Chelsea where he was released at the age of 14.

Chelsea have already signed seven players this summer as the Blues step up their bid for a Premier League title under Frank Lampard. Their last title win came under Antonio Conte some three years ago.

In stark contrast, Manchester United have signed only one player.
