North London giants Arsenal have reportedly made an offer in a bid to sign Houssem Aouar this summer.
Houssem Aouar, 22, plays his club football for French Ligue 1 side Lyon and he was the skipper as the team surprisingly got to the Champions League semi-finals at the end of last season.
The player was instrumental to that run with one goal and four assists in eight Champions League games.
French newspaper L’Equipe revealed that the Gunners made a player plus cash offer to Lyon for their prized asset Aouar and the offer was rebuffed as expected.

Arsenal included the controversial Matteo Guendouzi in the deal with technical director Edu in charge of transfers at the club in conjunction with manager Mikel Arteta.
In response to the offer, Lyon said that they are not looking for midfield reinforcements in the current transfer market.
Arsenal are not the only club impressed with the performances in the Champions League as the likes of Juventus and Manchester City are keeping tabs on his situation at Lyon.
Widespread reports claimed that Lyon won’t sell Houssem Aouar for anything less than €50 to €60m and Arsenal might need to sell some players before they can be able to generate the funds needed for the Lyon playmaker.
