Man United to earn £10m from player sale

English Premier League outfit, Man United are set to cash in the sum of £10 million from the sale of Chris Smalling in this summer transfer window, according to journalist Gianluca DiMarzio.
The journalist reports that Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma are close to agreeing on a deal for the defender with the sum of £10 million after enjoying his service in the just-concluded season.
Chris Smalling had a season-long loan at the Italian capital where he impressed and loved the city. He is now keen to return by putting an end to his United career.

However, it is understood that Chris Smalling will join AS Roma on loan this season but they will be obligated to sign him after the season loan with a fee of £10 million.
This is happening when manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is in the transfer market searching for a new defender that will partner Harry Maguire in the new season.
Upon his return from the loan spell, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had welcomed Chris Smalling and gave the hint that he will be a part of the team in the coming season but that might not be enough to convince him of a stay at the Old Trafford.
