English Premier League club Man United are already in battle with North London club Arsenal over the signature of Boubakary Soumare as one of the few names they have been linked with him in this summer transfer window.
While Foto Mercato reports that the Gunners are favourites in the race to sign Boubakary Soumare, Man United are still keen as they want to add more midfielders to their squad for the coming season.
However, Man United have got Nemanja Matic as the main defensive midfielder and have Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes as well in the middle, making no room for Boubakary Soumare if he joins except he proves manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wrong.

With Man United having the likes of Scott McTominary, pundits have argued that spending £22.5 million on Boubakary Soumare seems like a waste of money because of the option that is already available.
Records and stats, according to WhoScored have revealed that Scott McTominary has 1.6 average tackles than Boubakary Soumare who has 1.1, the same goes with interceptions and clearances of 1.1 compared to 0.8 and 1.2 compared to 0.8 respectively.
However, negotiations are still ongoing and the drama is expected to unravel in the coming weeks between the player and both clubs.
