While this is still being discussed, Thomas Partey has been told by his Ghana boss not to consider the choice of moving to the North London outfit, stressing that it is not his wish to have that happen.
According to him, leaving the Spanish La Liga outfit to the North London club is a setback to Thomas Partey because he cannot be guaranteed of Champions League football at Arsenal.
He also stressed that Thomas Partey already has his place in the Diego Simeone team sealed but he will have to start again when he gets to the Emirates Stadium to fight for a shirt.
However, discussions are still ongoing as a swap deal is also being considered by the Gunners.
