The North London club have been in the race for Brazilian international Gabriel Magalhaes for the past months alongside other suitors. It was earlier thought that the Gunners have lost out of the race but that has since changed following the latest report.

Italian Serie A club, Napoli were earlier mentioned as favourites but have been toppled by the English Premier League side for the deal as Lille are willing to part ways with Gabriel Magalhaes for the right price.
With qualification to the Europa League, the Gunners have been financially boosted to do some transfer deals this summer window and is now likely they will be able to meet with the £27 million tag placed on the player.
The 22-year-old is the kind of player needed by manager Mikel Arteta because he is young, strong, and technically sound to compete in the English Premier League.
