Former Arsenal manager Unai Emery is making efforts to save the career of Arsenal youngster Matteo Guendouzi by giving him a way out in this summer transfer window.

It has been a difficult time for Matteo Guendouzi as he has been frozen out of the team and out of favour with manager Mikel Arteta. There is no doubt he no longer has a future at the club.

Efforts by the Gunners to include him in swap deals for both Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho and Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey is yet to yield any result.

However, he could finally have his wish of playing under his former manager and get his career running again as Unai Emery is reportedly ready to make a move for Matteo Guendouzi this summer window.

Unai Emery only resumed as a manager with Spanish La Liga outfit Villarreal in the last few weeks and has been making efforts to rebuild the team by bringing in fresh legs.

However, there is no doubt that the North London outfit will accept a meaningful deal for Matteo Guendouzi from the Spanish outfit and the player will jump at the opportunity to work with the man that brought him to the Emirates Stadium.
