Both London clubs, Arsenal and Chelsea have indicated an interest in the signature of Matthias Ginter, from the German Bundesliga club, Borussia Monchengladbach.

The West London outfit was reported to be favourites ahead of the Gunners in the deal as they were ready to meet with the asking price but that the player is already rejecting any move away from Germany.

Matthias Ginter has, therefore, made his commitment to the Bundesliga outfit very public, insisting that eh would not be leaving the club any time soon.

He told Kicker that he is aware of all the interests and speculations and is being flattered but that will not be enough to take him out of the club because Borussia Monchengladbach is enough for him.

Meanwhile, the Blues and the North London outfit are keen on defenders for the coming season as they hope to compete favourably in their various European competitions, the reason why Matthias Ginter is being considered.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is believed to have named the players that would be leaving the club this transfer window as he hopes to rebuild the team to get stronger in the coming season.

The defence is a major priority for the Spanish manager as well as the midfield department.
