German Bundesliga outfit Bayern Munich defender, Jerome Boateng has been a target for English Premier League club, Arsenal for many summer transfer windows but he has been reluctant to make a deal happen.

It was expected that Jerome Boateng will make a switch to the Emirates Stadium in the last January transfer window as the Gunners were reported to have him on their list but failed to make it happen.

Now the veteran defender could be available for the North London outfit and he claims to be interested in playing in the Premier League for the coming season.

The former Man City defender told CGTN Sports, China global television he will no longer say no to a move to the English Premier League and a return will be his wish at the moment.

According to Jerome Boateng, watching the Premier League gives him delight, stressing that playing there will help him train and play against world-class players.

He, therefore, opened the door to any offers by saying the Premier League is one of his favourite leagues in the world.

It is, however, not sure if manager Mikel Arteta will be considering Jerome Boateng as an option but there is no doubt that the Spanish boss is keen on having defenders in the club next season.
