Man United legend Roy Keane has predicted what would become of his former club in the summer transfer window, ahead of the coming season.

According to him, qualifying for the Champions League has now established the club as a big one which will help to attract big players to the team. He is of the option that the Red Devils would have lacked what it takes to get big deals if they did not qualify.

Man United had to wait until the last day to confirm their place in the Champions League after defeating Leicester City 2-0 to make the top four alongside Liverpool, Man City, and Chelsea.

Roy Keane stated that it would have been difficult for Man United to attract big players if they hadn’t gotten the Champions League slot.

He stressed that all big players want to be in the Champions League and that placed manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in a better position to get them.

The Red Devils legend, therefore, hinted that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would be backed by the club management for major deals so that he can compete to win in the coming season.

However, England international Jadon Sancho has been named as United’s major target for the summer transfer window.
