Man United and Chelsea are reportedly ready to battle for the signature of Alex Telles from Porto ahead of the summer transfer window.

Alex Telles has been impressive for the Portuguese outfit for the past seasons and that has attracted a number of clubs, including English Premier League sides.

Both managers, Frank Lampard and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are looking forward to having new full-backs in the coming season as part of their rebuilding process with the Porto full-back as a major target.

It is reported that Man City are also weighing up options for the 27-year-old who is known to have a vast experience to help him strive in the English Premier League.

Alex Telles’ contract with FC Porto is expected to run out in 2021 which means he could be available in this summer transfer window if the club must cash in on him.

Man United have their major target as Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund but that will not mean defenders will not be joining the club but nothing will be happening until the transfer window is opened.

For Chelsea, two deals of attackers have been sealed and confirmed which makes defenders their next focus in the summer transfer window.
