Burnley winger Alex McNeil has responded to the transfer rumours linking him with a move back to Manchester United.

Alex McNeil came through the Manchester United Academy before being released five years ago.

The 19-year-old has become a key player for Burnley since he broke into the first team last season.

Alex McNeil has built a reputation as one of the best young players in the Premier League by virtue of his performances for Burnley in the last one year.

He talked about the transfer rumours linking him with a return to Old Trafford in his latest interview monitored by popular British media outlet Metro.

According to him, his focus is on Burnley amidst the numerous transfer rumours.

He went on to call the rumours ‘outside noise’ just like what his manager Sean Dyche says.

Manchester United will most likely bolster their squad when the January transfer window reopens in the New Year and several players have been linked with the club.

The latest reports coming out of the British media revealed that chief executive Ed Woodward wants to release funds for the transfer of players ahead of the winter transfer window.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be given £73m to spend on players.
