Premier League giants Arsenal are plotting a summer move for highly-rated Celtic defender Kieran Tierney according to various reports emanating from the British media.
According to the publication from Football London, the Gunners want to boost their defensive options with the signing of the young Scottish international player.
Kieran Tierney is widely regarded as one of the best fullbacks in British football.
The 21-year-old is a long-term target for North London giants Arsenal and even rejected a move to the Emirates Stadium two years.
The Celtic defender turned down the Arsenal transfer in favour of staying in Scotland to continue his football development.
Arsenal have identified the left-back position as one that needs strengthening when the transfer window reopens in the summer.
Gunners boss Unai Emery was unable to bring in players during the winter transfer window due to financial fair play restrictions but funds should be available for him to get the players that he wants in the summer.
Apart from Kieran Tierney, Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell is another defender on the long-term transfer list at Arsenal though he’ll be more expensive having recently become an England international towards the end of last year.
Manchester City are also interested in Ben Chilwell.
