One of the biggest news that will ever come out from the camp of the North London club Arsenal is the announcement that Gabon international striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would agree to a contract extension.

It is reported that the Gunners are keen to commit the former Borussia Dortmund forward at the club and are set to hand him a new deal of £250,000-a-week plus bonuses.

The club and the player have been on the negotiation table over a new deal and it was feared that Arsenal will be losing out on the player with a number of interests lined up for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang earns £198,000 a week at the Emirates Stadium and are set to lift it up to £250,000 to convince him as losing a player of such quality will be a big blow to the club.

Manager Mikel Arteta is desperate to have this announcement done so as to hold his peace as he seeks to work with the forward in the coming season.

Two Spanish La Liga outfits Barcelona and Real Madrid are keen to land Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is Arsenal’s highest goal scorer this season but that might not happen again with the Gunners ready to make an announcement.
