Liverpool have had a phenomenal season till date and one would think that manager Jurgen Klopp won’t need to strengthen his squad for next season with his team showing remarkable strengths in all departments.

The Liverpool boss is not of this school of thought with the Reds manager keen to strengthen his phenomenal team further than the signing of Takumi Minamino last month.

Japanese international Minamino became a Liverpool player in January after the club paid the £7.25m release clause in his then contract with Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg.

He made his debut for Liverpool during the FA Cup third-round game at home to Merseyside rivals Everton which his new team won 1-0 courtesy the second-half strike from Curtis Jones.

Liverpool are expected to add another attacker to their playing squad later this summer. The left-back position is also a priority for the Reds who are keen to find a suitable back-up for first-choice left-back Andy Robertson.

For the attacking position, here are the targets:

1. Kai Havertz

The German international plays his club football for Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga. The young midfielder has one year left on his contract at the Bay Arena and he’s expected to leave them for a new team this summer with Liverpool seen as massive favourites to sign him.

2. Timo Werner

Liverpool are in pole position to sign the petite RB Leipzig attacker this summer after he agreed on personal terms with the incoming Premier League champions according to widespread reports in the British media. According to the Liverpool Echo, Timo Werner wants to join Liverpool ahead of Chelsea who are also in the mix for his signature.

3. Kylian Mbappe

The signing of Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint Germain (PSG) would be a masterstroke for the Reds though it is highly unlikely for the French champions to part ways with their most prized asset this summer.
