North London outfit Arsenal are reported to be a step forward in securing the signature of FC Porto midfielder Danilo Pereira in the summer transfer window.

The midfielder had made a come get me plea to the Gunners earlier with Arsenal also making their interest in his service known.

The Latest report now claims the North London outfit have been told the price for the player who has just won his second Primeira Liga with FC Porto.

FC Porto have stated that the Gunners will have to pay £36 million to be able to secure the service of Danilo Pereira, according to Portuguese outlet Jornal de Noticias (via Sport Witness)

However, it is expected that the Gunners will sit on the negotiation table to discuss the fee as it is unlikely they will be able to cough out such an amount for the midfielder.

Danilo Pereira is very keen to join the North London club after hailing manager Mikel Arteta and the style at Arsenal. He claims to have been watching the club since he was a young player and will want to have the experience now.

According to him, the Portuguese League is a good one but he wants a better experience with the EPL.
