The future of Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is still uncertain at the Emirates Stadium and Arsenal might not have the final say on his future against what has been reported.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s contract with the North London outfit will run out next year and he is yet to seal a new deal which raises fears on whether he would be sold or not.
The former Borussia Dortmund attacker is reported to be having interests from a number of clubs including Spanish La Liga outfit and there has been calm for the season to end.
- Arteta not bothered about Aubameyang’s contract extension, see why
- Liverpool set to join Chelsea to storm Bundesliga for summer signing
- Signs that this player is leaving Chelsea
Although there are suggestions that negotiation seems to be working for the Gunners with the player already considering a contract extension but with their latest defeat against Aston Villa, it is unlikely he would want to stay at the Emirates Stadium.
Therefore, Spanish publication Sport has reported that the Arsenal forward is now waiting for Barcelona to table an offer for him and he will join immediately.
This is against earlier claims by the Gabon international striker that his future lies in the hands of the club after giving them his own terms and seems unwilling to shift ground.
Meanwhile, Arsenal could be forced to lose the star striker especially if they are unable to clinch a ticket for the Europa League.
