Arteta not bothered about Aubameyang’s contract extension, see why

It has now become obvious, the reason why manager Mikel Arteta has not shown any fear with the delay in contract extension of Gabon sensation Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Dust is already been raised over issues of his contract. With some months left to the end of his current contract, the Gabon international is yet to seal a new deal and this is coming amidst interest from a number of clubs across Europe.

Knowing his quality and goal-scoring ability, it was expected that Arteta will be desperate to see his captain seal a new deal but his body language has not shown that.

The reason is now made clear after he confirmed that he is positive that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will remain at the club for many years.

When BT Sports asked Arteta about the progress so far on Aubameyang and contract talks, he replied by saying “I don’t know”

He therefore confidently assured that there is no need for worries because he is confident that the former Dortmund player will pen a new deal.

Meanwhile, Aubameyang has also confirmed that he hopes to sit with the club anytime soon but noted that he is focused on finishing the season in a better position.

Aubameyang has been outstanding for Arsenal and has set a club record of 50 goals in 75 games after his double against Norwich in the 4-0 win at the Emirates Stadium.
