This development is coming amidst speculations that goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga will be shown the way out of the Stamford Bridge over his poor performances especially since the restart of football which makes an option very urgent.
Chelsea have also been linked with Jan Oblak from Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid but a fee for the shot-stopper is about £110 million which is too high for the club’s budget. The Blues are therefore considering an option of a swap deal involving Kepa Arrizabalaga but that has been rejected by the Madrid club as they are not interested in his service.
However, Frank Lampard have severally risen in defence of the shot-stopper stressing that he is a good goalkeeper who is just having his difficult time and will bounce back.
