Premier League club Manchester United are in a big battle to sign highly rated Bayer Leverkusen attacker Leon Bailey.

This is according to the latest news on the British media scene which said that the Red Devils and some other Premier League teams want to sign Leon Bailey in the summer and that the Jamaican international star might set them back to the tune of £85m.

The Daily Express confirmed the interest of Manchester United in the Bayer Leverkusen winger and that other Premier League sides like Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are also interested in signing the 22-year-old player.

Leon Bailey set the German Bundesliga on fire during the 2017/18 season but he has failed to reach that level since that breakthrough campaign. His shaky form has not stopped his club from slamming a sizeable asking price on him.

Bayer Leverkusen star Leon Bailey has player just 22 times for his team this season scoring seven goals in the process.

He has missed eight games this term due to muscle-related injuries plus five games from red card offences.

Of all the interested teams in Leon Bailey, only Arsenal are yet to sign a player this year.

Manchester United signed Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon in Portugal for a lot of money and he has lived up to expectations thus winning the Player of the Month for February.

He has scored two league goals since his arrival in January.

Odion Ighalo is a Nigerian striker and he was signed on loan from Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua in the last day of the January transfer window. He has scored four goals in just three starts and it’s likely that the Red Devils will turn his loan spell to a permanent  transfer after it ends.

Liverpool signed Japanese international Takumi Minamino, while Chelsea have completed a deal for Hakim Ziyech from Ajax Amsterdam in the Netherlands but he won’t join until the summer.
