Manchester United fans would have been delighted with the news that star man Paul Pogba is mulling over the possibility of signing a new contract at the club in what’s a remarkable u-turn from his previous position about his future at the Theatre of Dreams.

Paul Pogba has been a controversial figure at Old Trafford in his second spell at the club and the player was keen to leave last year as per the interview he granted while he was in Tokyo for an Adidas event.

He had told reporters back in the Japanese capital that seeking greener pastures away from Manchester United is his next plan. Pogba was unable to make this happen last summer amidst the strong interest from Zinedine Zidane and Real Madrid.

Paul Pogba has barely featured this season because of a recurring ankle problem which prompted him to undergo surgery in March and it was widely believed that the midfielder will finally get his wish of an exit from Old Trafford this summer but the Frenchman seems to have changed his stance on the matter as per the Daily Mirror.

Pogba is said to have been impressed with the January signing of Bruno Fernandes from Portuguese Super League giants Sporting Lisbon and how far the player has been able to adapt to the surroundings at his new club. Paul Pogba is eager to return from his injury to play alongside Bruno Fernandes and this could play a big part in him staying at Manchester United for the long haul especially if they get Champions League football.

Pogba has two years left on his contract at Old Trafford which includes the mandatory one year clause from the club and he could now sign a new Manchester United deal that could move his weekly salary from £300,000 to £400,000.
