Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly in pole position to sign Jadon Sancho according to a recent report from Sky Sports and this was corroborated by journalist Duncan Castles on the Transfer Window Podcast.

Borussia Dortmund are almost resigned to losing Jadon Sancho in the summer with the player keen to return to the Premier League after three years in the German Bundesliga.

The 19-year-old left the Premier League in 2017 after being starved of first team football at Manchester City.

Sancho signed for Borussia Dortmund during that summer but didn’t become a regular in the starting XI until last season when he almost led his team to the German Bundesliga title.

Borussia Dortmund missed out on a first league title since 2012 after they were piped by rivals Bayern Munich. The Bavarian giants have won the league title in each of the last seven seasons in the German top flight.

Manchester United tried to sign Jadon Sancho last summer after making him their number one transfer target but they were unable to get their man with Borussia Dortmund blocking the possibility of him moving away from the club.

His sensational form has continued into this season and the interest of the Red Devils in him is still intact though they have to battle the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea who are also interested.

Jadon Sancho showed his quality during the Champions League first knockout clash with Paris Saint Germain (PSG) which Borussia Dortmund won 2-1 at home during their first leg clash.

Borussia Dortmund and PSG meet for the second leg next month.

Chelsea see Jadon Sancho as the man to replace former talisman Eden Hazard who has joined Real Madrid. The Blues wanted to sign him last month but the winger was not available.

Premier League table toppers Liverpool are also in the mix.
