League leaders Liverpool have the perfect opportunity to edge closer to the Premier League title when they take on West Ham United who are struggling at the other end of the table.

Liverpool are guests of West Ham United in what’s their outstanding game in the Premier League.

The outstanding game should have taken place last month if not for their participation at the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup tournament in Qatar.

They have 16 more points than Manchester City who are the nearest team to the Reds on the table and a win over the Hammers would take them 19 points clear of the Premier League champions.

West Ham United manager David Moyes is under serious pressure to arrest the recent slide in form which has seen them lose three of the last four games in all competitions including the 1-0 home loss to English Championship leaders West Bromwich Albion at the weekend.

West Ham United are outside the relegation zone on goal difference at the moment with 14 games left to play in the league this season.

Liverpool will be without the injured Sadio Mane for the game with Divock Origi expected to deputise for him.

Expected Liverpool XI: Alisson Becker; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil Van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Andy Robertson; Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain; Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi.
