French giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) officials have delivered a firm transfer verdict on striker Edinson Cavani who is a target for both Manchester United and Chelsea.
According to Goal via one of its publications, PSG sporting director Leonardo and club manager Thomas Tuchel see Edison Cavani as an important part of their squad and they don’t want him to leave the club this month despite the fact that the Uruguayan international player has six months remaining on his PSG contract at the moment.

Several clubs are ready to offer PSG some money for the final six months of the player’s contract but club officials prefer to lose his services this summer on a free transfer.
Edinson Cavani had been a regular in the PSG starting XI for several years until last summer when the French champions signed Mauro Icardi on loan from Inter Milan in the Italian Serie A.
Mauro Icardi has taken his spot in the first team aided by the injury to Edison Cavani at the start of the season.
Atletico Madrid are in pole position to sign Edison Cavani and have already offered €10m for him though it was turned down by PSG who says he is not for sale.
