Manchester City want to offer €100m for the player’s transfer but it won’t be during this winter transfer market as the Citizens are targeting a summer swoop. This could be an advantage for Manchester United who are keen on a January transfer rather than a summer move.
Manchester United have been in negotiations with Sporting Lisbon for the player in the past week and they are not close to an agreement for him.
The Red Devils are not willing to pay the €70m asking price set for Bruno Fernandes by Sporting Lisbon.
Bruno Fernandes is a goalscoring midfielder which is a scarce commodity in modern day football.
The 25-year-old has scored eight goals and added assists for seven more goals in 15 league games this term.
