Italian Serie A giants AS Roma want to sign Liverpool play maker Xerdan Shaqiri according to the report from the stables of EuroSport.
It was revealed that AS Roma are keen on a January transfer for him as they look for an alternative for the injury stricken Nicolo Zaniolo who was a victim of a serious knee injury during their last game in the Italian Serie A.
Zaniolo was stretchered off with a serious knee injury during the league game against Juventus which the Old Lady won 2-1 to move two points clear at the top of the table.

The Italian international will almost certainly miss the 2020 European Championships as a result of the serious knee injury.
Nicolo Zaniolo would have been named in the Italy squad for the tournament later this year if the young midfielder was fit.
For AS Roma, Xerdan Shaqiri is the perfect option to replace the injured Zaniolo by they are expected to meet a resistance from Reds boss Jurgen Klopp in their quest to sign the Swiss international player.
Shaqiri has struggled for fitness this season and that has led to just a handful of appearances thus leading to rumours that he wants to leave the Merseyside giants in this winter transfer market.
