Marcus Rashford was back at the Carrington training ground base of Manchester United as they prepare for the crunch Premier League clash at the home of arch rivals Liverpool this weekend.

The Liverpool vs Manchester United fixture is widely regarded as the most important in an English football season and Rashford is in serious danger of missing out on the latest game between the two traditional teams of English football.

Marcus Rashford was on target during the first league meeting between the two teams this season.

His first half goal was on course to give Manchester United a big win until the final five minutes when Liverpool substitute Adam Lallana equalised for the visitors at Old Trafford as both teams settled for a 1-1 draw.

Manchester United are the only team to take points off Liverpool in the Premier League this season as the Reds have a 14-point lead at the top of the table after winning 20 games out of 21 league outings.

Manchester United won’t love nothing more than to put spanner in the works of Liverpool who are trying to win their first league title in the Premier League era and it would be a big blow for the Red Devils if they can’t play with topscorer Marcus Rashford who has scored 19 goals in all competitions this term.

He is struggling with a back injury and he has touched down at the training ground for a fitness test today.
