North London giants Arsenal have decided against making permanent signings in the ongoing winter transfer window.
This is according to trusted journalist David Ornstein who works for The Athletic.
According to him, Arsenal are eyeing the maximum of two loan signings in this winter transfer window as new manager Mikel Arteta is satisfied with the players at his disposal.
The Gunners have prioritized defensive signings whether loan or permanent as it is clear where they need to improve.
Arsenal have been more organized since Mikel Arteta became their new manager last month.

The North Londoners have been mentioned as a possible transfer outlet for Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare who is highly rated and has attracted the interest of other Premier League rivals.
Manchester United had the Lille hardman watched last weekend during their first league game of the new year.
He was sent off during that game away to Dijon with the Red Devils scouts in attendance.
Arsenal have also been linked with Manchester City defender John Stones in the past few hours.
John Stones is no stranger to Mikel Arteta as the England international played for him as the assistant manager at Manchester City before the appointment as Arsenal manager in December.
