Liverpool’s 2020 Transfer Plans Revealed

Respected journalist James Pearce has disclosed the transfer plans of Liverpool for this year.

James Pearce talked about Liverpool and transfers during a Q&A on The Athletic as he said that Liverpool will be busy in the summer.

He also hinted that the Reds won’t be active in the current January winter transfer window save the signing of Takumi Minamino.

Liverpool were the first Premier League side to make a signing in this month’s transfer window following the signing of Japanese international Takumi Minamino who spent five years at Red Bull Salzburg FC of Austria before his transfer to Anfield was announced last month.

Takumi Minamino joined Red Bull Salzburg from Japanese outfit Cerezo Osaka in January 2015 and the 24-year-old went on to become a key player for the Austrians.

He impressed in both legs against Liverpool in the Champions League and that prompted the Reds to secure his transfer.

Liverpool activated the £7.25m release clause in the Red Bull Salzburg contract of Takumi Minamino to secure his transfer.

Ahead of this summer, Liverpool have been linked with the Norwich City duo of Jamaal Lewis and creative midfielder Emiliano Buendia.

Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho is also on their radar.
