Highly rated RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano is a long-term transfer target for Arsenal dating back to last summer when the clubs held negotiations over the French centre back.
Arsenal had a €60m bid turned down for French u-21 international Dayot Upamecano last summer as the German club held out for around €100m.
The Gunners are expected to make a move for Dayot Upamecano this summer according to the publication from Goal which stated that RB Leipzig star Dayot Upamecano could be available for just £40m as the Guinean-born French player would have just one year left on his current deal at the German club.
Dayot Upamecano is also attracting the interest of other European clubs like Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
